Saskatchewan Science Centre
Saskatchewan's premier tourist and educational attraction, the Saskatchewan Science Centre has a quarter of a million visitors annually. The Science Centre is an interactive science museum and Imax theatre. The two facilities of the centre, the Powerhouse of Discovery and the Kramer IMAX Theatre, present exciting and fun ways for children to interact with science. The Powerhouse of Discovery features hands-on exhibits that explore basic scientific principles of physics, genetics, biology, ecology, geology and space. The Discovery Lab houses an array of reptilian and amphibian animals. Visitors can also enjoy live demonstrations on static electricity, cryogenics, lasers, sound, ecology and anatomy. The Kramer IMAX Theatre presents science and nature films in the giant-screen format.
